The saddest Youtube comment I ever saw.

I have four alarmingly unfinished essays. I should be writing them. Instead I thought I would write a blogpost about Heaven 17.

This was triggered by what I think must be the saddest youtube comment I have ever seen, under a video for Heaven 17 – Temptation:

this seems like a nice song to dance to but sadly i am in a wheelchair

I hate to think of someone not being able to dance to Heaven 17.

Alas, there’s not a lot I can do about it. So I’m going to post some really cool Heaven 17 videos. I wasn’t such a massive fan until I saw them at Bestival this summer, where they absolutely blew me away. I wish I could think of a less clichéd way to say it, but that’s the best way I can describe it. They made most of the new acts look pretty boring and low-key in comparison; even balding and with a slight paunch, Glenn Gregory is an awesomely charismatic frontman. They put on an amazing show, the highlights being a sort of super amped up dancier version of Temptation, and a duet with La Roux.

First up, Come Live With Me, Glenn Gregory chasing a beautiful girl around Paris with an egg.

Next, one of my favourite videos ever. So inventive, great use of colour/black and white, and SO 80’s! Crushed by the Wheels of Industry. (WOOWOO!)

and the classic Temptation:

SO GOOD. If I wasn’t so warm in bed I would get up and dance.

On a side note, wouldn’t Glenn Gregory have made a great Malfoy?

Anyway, enough rambling,

TTFN! love Issi xxx
