Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!

Hope your Reading Week was alright! This week the show is back with theme ‘Inspirations’.:) Films, music, birds chirping, wind, rain, films, food, etc etc. We will be talking about all those things and from this week the show will have couple of new and exciting things! Pssssssssssssstttttttttttttttt, will be told in show, so listen!:)

At the moment I’m avoiding going to lecture to study on my essay due in few days, but now am even avoiding the essay meh. So tired. Wish I could be in bed now with hot tea. Mmmmm, tea.

Me and Issi later are going to Washed Out gig, so hopefully it will be good too. —————–> Washed Out:

Yello everyone!!!

At 4pm-6pm we are back with the second show in this term! Please listen and join discussion on our facebook page or through twitter or with any other methods!:D This week’s theme is ‘dreams’ woo! Anyways, please check it out and have a good day!

Good morning. 🙂

This seems like too hot day already and don’t even want to go outside, because me and hot weather is very bad, feel so dizzy and prefer cold and snow and freezing.

Anyway, yesterday I saw kind of film I would not usually watch, don’t know why:D, not really into gangster films, but watched it and really liked it. It’s called ‘Goodfellas’ and like IMDb description says, the storyline is:

Henry Hill is a small time gangster, who takes part in a robbery with Jimmy Conway and Tommy De Vito, two other gangsters who have set their sights a bit higher. His two partners kill off everyone else involved in the robbery, and slowly start to climb up through the hierarchy of the Mob. Henry, however, is badly affected by his partners success, but will he stoop low enough to bring about the downfall of Jimmy and Tommy?

It was really interesting! The soundtrack was surprising and so good!! And actors hot!!:D Especially the main actor Ray Liotta was very handsome! Just tried to google a good picture of him, but don’t think anything would complement his blue, amazing eyes.:D Definitely would advise it!

Yesterday, Issi was working on Wired radio stall at Goldsmiths Freshers Fayre and told that some fresher from the USA joined radio society because had read our blog before. It was so awesome and I feel so happy about that! So just wanted to say hi and thanks to everyone who checks out updates and blog and twitter, we really appreciate it!!! So awesome!!!=D

^Lots of kittens running, aw.:D

And a cool little sheep!!:D (Sorry for randomness of this blog!)

Some other things inspiring:

-“Always be yourself. Unless you can be David Bowie. Always be David Bowie.”

Okis, I’ll stop here. 😀 Hope you like them!

Wish I knew what to do today to make it worth, could read anthropology for coming term, search for jobs and housing (does anyone know anyone who are renting room, budget around 100p/w ideally?:s), but instead I would love to go to Zoo (even though I don’t like them) or go to find a huge castle type national trust building near London, or go to Tate Modern Dreams section. Don’t know.

Have a good weekend and start of the term! All the best wishes and kitties,

Love, Agnese x.

Handstands and icecream.

Greetings Cats on Toast listeners / readers!

How are you? We hope you are well and enjoying sufficient amounts of cats and toast.

Our show is on hiatus at the moment as Wired are not broadcasting over the summer, but fingers crossed we will be back with you in September in some shape or form.

Agnese and I are on summer holidays. She is back home in Latvia and I am working in a shoe shop / lazing in London. I am currently staying at a friend’s house, which is great as she has a cat called Epping (after the tube station) and a 1950’s film projector. We play board games and watch Made in Chelsea.

The laugh at 0.13…

I thought I would make a list of some nice things to do around London when it is sunny.

Take a picnic to Regent’s Park. The picnic must include cold cider. It is a beautiful place to spend time with friends, and stays open till late. Here are some photos of when I went with the girls I’m staying with, handstands after cider were fun.

Sit by the window in Foyles cafe. It is full of super attractive bookish people and you can watch life go by on Charing Cross Road. Also, free wifi.

Get a snog from Snog. Ludicrously named frozen yoghurt place in Soho / Covent Garden, but they are delicious. Perfect on a hot summer’s day.

People-watch in Trafalgar Square. Spare a thought for the slightly rubbish performers who even the tourists don’t give money to. Eat ice cream.

– And finally one I really want to do but haven’t got around to yet; take a dip in one of the outdoor pools in London. This one looks lovely: the Kenwood Ladies Pond .

I have made a summer playlist. A collection of songs I have been listening to recently, which I’m hoping I can use as a musical time capsule to take me back to this summer in later years. Listen on Spotify if you like.

Lots of love,

Sexy Drums.

So as Agnese said, we went to see The Drums tonight. They were BRILLIANT, they played all our favourite songs and gave an awesomely energetic performance, and we both left the venue grinning madly and very happy. I won’t say too much more about the gig now, as I’m halfway through writing a review of it for the London Student newspaper which *fingers crossed* might get published! If it does perhaps I’ll stick it up here.

I’m hoping I can do some more gig-reviewing, both for “work experience” and just for getting to see cool bands for free.

Here is the video of my favourite Drums song. It was the song that got me into them about a year ago, and ended up being the soundtrack to a couple of really nice months. At this point it must be said, they really are rather aesthetically pleasing…

In other news, ADAM and JOE are coming to to our earwaves for a Christmas Special!! >> http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00cbzww

Hoorah! But wait…am I hearing right? Is their LAST EVER SHOW?

I will be genuinely saddened if they are to disappear off the radio. Listening to their show is one of my favourite things to do. Little else makes me laugh so much (usually in an embarrassingly loud way when I’m listening somewhere public and quiet) and inspires so much affection in me.

Say it isn’t so Adam and Joe!!

On a lighter note, here is a video of Nicholas Cage “losing his shit”, multiple times. It made me laugh a LOT.

Ciao! xxx
